Michael has over 25 years of experience at Lohn Caulder LLP. After articling with the firm, Michael earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2006 and joined as Partner in 2013. He is a tax specialist, advising clients on a variety of projects including personal, trust and corporate income tax planning, estate tax, corporate reorganization transactions, purchasing and selling a business, SR&ED, and an assortment of other matters.
He enjoys working with clients in a wide range of industries such as medicine, dentistry, law, engineering, consulting, real estate, computer software development, sales and retail. He specializes in advising clients and their families who own small to medium-sized private companies.
Michael is a graduate of the CICA In-Depth Taxation course and the BKR Leadership Institute. Born and raised in the Greater Vancouver area, he moved to Victoria to earn his undergraduate degree in International Commerce before becoming a Chartered Accountant.
He truly enjoys being a trusted advisor to our clients. He lives on the North Shore with his wife, two children and two dogs. They love to enjoy the outdoors and travel when they are not busy with soccer and dance activities!
